Dr. Ronald B. Holiman began his journey at Howard University College of Dentistry, graduating in 1987. Over the last 36 years, Dr. Holiman’s career has taken him to diverse corners of the globe. He started his professional journey serving as a missionary dentist in Hong Kong for five years, making a notable impact in remote areas with weekly visits to villages on outlying islands. In 1992, he moved to Plaistow, New Hampshire, with his family. He then acquired Dr. Albert Landa’s dental practice, which later blossomed into Plaistow Dental. In 2022, he proudly handed the reins over to his daughter, Dr. Shaina Darmont, with whom he had worked closely since 2015.

Dr. Holiman believes that oral health is vital to general physical health. Driven by this conviction, he ardently strives to ensure that every patient achieves optimal oral health. As part of his approach, he thoroughly discusses each patient’s needs and works with them to formulate their unique dental treatment plans. He doesn’t believe in shaming patients but in helping patients reach their goals in a judgment-free environment.

Committed to staying up to date on the dynamic world of dentistry, Dr. Holiman prioritizes regular continuing education—emphasizing both practice management and the adoption of cutting-edge technologies. His dedication extends to his entire team, cultivating a collective spirit of learning and progress. One of the toughest parts of his job is telling patients they need advanced treatments or dental prosthetics due to long-term neglect. However, seeing the joy and health they regain after treatment is deeply rewarding.

When it comes to his areas of focus, Dr. Holiman has been especially keen on restorative dentistry. He took to using CEREC technology over 20 years ago, recognizing its revolutionary role in dental restorative care.

Dr. Holiman’s dedication goes beyond his practice. A notable memory was a trip to the village of Poptun in Guatemala, an initiative led by Dr. Darmont in her high school days. Together with a group of enthusiastic students, they provided essential dental care, an experience that left a lasting impact.
